Announcing Ceramics on the Edge 4!

To be shown in the Doris Crowston Gallery of the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre
in July 2012.
Artists Submission date: April 18, 2012. Artists will be notified of acceptance
by May 18, 2012.
The intent of this juried exhibition is to present the best innovative work created by ceramic artists resident on the Sunshine Coast. Two categories -- established artists and emerging artists -- will be judged separately, with the best of each category selected for inclusion in the show.
Each artist will be represented by a set of objects that can be displayed within a 30-inch by 30-inch by 40-inch (h) space. Artists may submit both functional and non-functional or purely decorative work. As well as objects that can be placed on plinths, artists are encouraged to submit work such as masks, tiles and plaques that can be wall hung.
Submission is by compact disk (CD), which includes not more than six photos of work that is representative of the work the artist wishes to exhibit. Artists are also required to submit a description (not to exceed 300 words) of their distinctive ceramic process (choice of clay, firing process, innovative glazing techniques, etc.) and the influences that inspired their work.
A catalogue will be available for purchase by the public attending this show.
